"More and more...": Singer Mikel Izal speaks out about Palestine at a concert, sparking thousands of reactions.

Mikel Izal 's concert in Logroño's Town Hall Square was much more than just a musical event during the San Mateo festivities. Before more than 12,000 attendees, the Navarrese artist offered a rundown of his songs in a festive atmosphere that also left room for reflection. Amidst Palestinian flags waving in the audience, Izal decided to take a break—perhaps aptly put—to deliver a message of concern about the international situation.

"There's no justification for what's happening not far from here," he said with a serious expression, briefly breaking the rhythm of the evening. The singer confessed to feeling increasingly affected by current events: "I'm getting sadder and sadder. The world seems uglier and uglier to me, and what's happening is incredible ." His words were met with applause from the audience.

The gesture did not go unnoticed. Expressing his gratitude for the presence of the Palestinian flags , he emphasized that "it's good to remember this and talk about it whenever possible," making it clear that, for him, music can also be a platform to bring injustices to light.

Beyond the protest component, the event was marked by the enthusiasm of the people of Logroño, who braved the bad weather to enjoy almost an hour and a half of pop rock in the heart of the city. The concert became one of the main attractions of the festive Sunday , part of a program that brought together families, clubs, and visitors from all over La Rioja to celebrate the important day of San Mateo.

Municipal authorities described the event as a "massive success," highlighting both the participation in the float parade and the peaceful atmosphere of the day.

The singer, who has been known for his intimate and direct style in his lyrics, once again demonstrated that his concerts are not just a succession of songs.
